It looks as if the A-list are practically falling over themselves to guest star in hit TV show Glee! If like us, you were glued to your screen last night singing along (badly out of tune) to the amazing Britney Spears episode, you’ll be excited to know Anne Hathaway’s been announced as the next big star to bag herself a role.
Back in November, the actress spoke to Jimmy Fallon about her desire to join the show. “In my head I’ve cast myself on Glee,” she said. “I would want to play Karl’s long-lost aunt – his mother’s sister who is also gay, who comes back to help him deal with his sexuality.” And it was her appearance at the Golden Globe Awards 2011, where she met the Glee creater Ryan Murphy that sealed the deal. Talking to Access Hollywood he said: “She walked by our table and we have a mutual friend and I said, ‘Do you really want to do it?’ And she said, ‘I do.’ And I said, ‘OK, we’re gonna do it.’” With only a month until they start filming we’re practically shaking with excitement – well, they don’t call us Gleeks for nothing!
