From Lady Gaga’s infamous egg arrival to J-Lo’s belly-button baring Versace dress, the Grammys is normally known for being just a little bit OTT. But not this year. The music awards got all grown-up on us and took a turn for the haute-couture. Ok yes, things were still a tad elaborate, but when is high fashion not? Fully living up to the most fabulous night in the music biz, everyone from Kim K to RiRi rocked couture looks hot off the runway.
1. Gwen Stefani in Atelier Versace
Proving that red carpet dressing doesn’t have to be all about the gowns, Gwen Stefani blew our sartorial minds in this epic Atelier Versace jumpsuit.
2. Rihanna in Giambattista Valli Haute Couture
Working what can only be described as a ginormous pink tulle toilet roll cover, Rihanna proved her ability to rock even the most outrageous outfit and make it look amazing.
3. Kim Kardashian West in Jean Paul Gaultier Haute Couture
Hitting us with a whole lot of bling and a newly cropped bob, Kim nailed it once again. Ultra-glam, majorly embellished and with a plunging neckline, Kim’s Jean Paul Gaultier Haute Couture gown pushed all the right buttons and frankly, we reckon she looked better than her runway counterpart. Go girl!
4. Katy Perry in Zuhair Murad Couture
Revealing her new lavender locks, Katy Perry opted for a super sparkly Zuhair Murad number that was literally dripping with silver beading. As casual as Katy is ever going to be, her silver and nude dress was a welcome change to the traditional red-carpet gowns. We’re awarding major style points for bringing a little bit of Brit to the LA event with her choice of Sophia Webster heels.
