Powder Blue Eyes + Peachy Lips
There’s something about blue and peach that just makes sense, we spotted it on the Diane Von Frustenberg catwalk where models sported tropical blue lids and glossy peachy lips, and Lancome’s new collection hosts it all. Smudge the turquoise blue in the Hypnose Palette, £38, all over the lid and the indigo blue just under the lower lashes. Over lips add a coat of the Lancome Rouge In Love Lipstick in 406 Tender Apricot, £22, followed by another of the Lancome Lip Lover Gloss in 406 Tender Apricot, £18.50. Now pass us a pink colada!
Electric Lashes + Mermaid Nails
Love spring makeup, but not too sure which elements you can rock? Ysl’s new offerings act as the perfect muse. The new collection features two super bright mascaras, one green and another pink. Wear it on just the tips of your lashes for an instant fresh update. Combine it with a bright pop of colour on the lips using, Ysl’s Babydoll Kiss & Blush in Fuschia Desinvolte, £28.50. And we’re pretty sure you’ll fall in love with the mermaid-esque nail shades. Just two coats give an erethal shimmer that catches the light making even short nails appear longer.
Earthy Smokey Eye + Nude Lips
When it comes to a gorge palette, you can always trust Laura Mercier to come up tops. The After The Rain Eye Colour Collection Palette, £45 comes with four matte and four sparkling shimmer shades in a combo of different earthy tones. If you’ve got blonde hair choose more greeny golden hues, but if you’ve got darker hair opt for more aubergine browns instead. Finish it off with a nude lip, there are two in the range, Rive Gauche Creamy Colourbalm, £19.50, is slightly paler so looks better with a bolder smoky eye.
Pastel Pop Nails + Glowing Skin
Why wear just one colour on your nails if Dior’s spring collection features so many delicious candy combos?! Paint Dior Vernis in 301 Bleuette, 302 Garden, 491 Lilac and 650 Pivoine, over a different nail. It’s important to keep the shape short and martial, mimicking the shape of your cuticle at the tip. To give your cheeks a spring- like glow dust Diorskin Nude Air Glowing Gardens in 002 Glowing Nude, £40, over the cheekbones, down the nose and across your forehead. It almost looks too pretty to touch, but the skin popping benefits, you’ll see, are oh-so worth it.
Brightening Bold Blush + Violet Nails
This look screams sophistication, so it’s only right that it comes from makeup powerhouse, Chanel. The trio of blush shades in the Collection LA Sunrise Exclusive Creation Blush in Sunkiss Ribbon, £44, look amazing over and under the cheekbones to make them pop, you can even mix up your own concoction and swipe a little over the lid too. The Le Vernis Nail colour in Sunset Trip, £18, in the collection is set to be the biggest sell out for nails this spring, trust us! In the bottle it looks navy, almost black, but on it gives an instant shot of punchy violet, that suit all skin tones.
