Versace’s Winged Smoky Eye Is The Perfect Party Look

Last night the greatly anticipated SS’15 Versace show took place in Paris. The stunning collection was a combination of swirling shapes and decedent gowns, with a more formal frontier selection of suits.

Backstage Pat McGrath created the makeup looks, lips were nude and faces followed suit, with slightly bronzed, flawless looking skin.

The eyes were winged and dark, framed by a strong bushy brow. In place of a liquid lined clean edge, was a far softer smoky pencil, drawn above and carried bellow the eye, creating a vampy finish.

Karlie Kloss uploaded this gorgeous group selfie with Pat McGrath and supermodels Amber Valletta and Eva Herzigova, all showcasing the sultry, smoky look.

If you’re looking to take your makeup up a notch, this is the perfect way to up the glam without worrying too much about liner edges.

To get the look, take a soft khol pencil like Smashbox Limitless Eye Liner and line the entire eye. Follow the pencil out creating a winged shape; don’t worry too much about it being perfect because you can blend out the edges afterwards.

Take the pencil round, stopping above the inner corners of the eye. Keep it just beneath the brow bone and finish off by smudging the liner bellow the lash line.

Make sure the rest of your makeup is low key when wearing a dramatic dark eye and keep lips nude, with a swipe of clear gloss.
