From infamous Scouse brows to TOWIE inspired tans, we've tracked down the most buzzed about beauty trends in the UK... but do you agree with what tops your region?
It’s no secret that girls (and guys) in the UK are obsessed with beauty. We spend way more than we’d like to admit on makeup and we’re forever on the hunt for a new in-salon hair treatment to tackle our frizz-prone locks.
But, new research has recently surfaced, highlighting what individual regions in the UK spend their money on. From Scouse brows to Essex tans… do you think your hometown influences what beauty buy is top of your list? Check out the regional beauty trends below and let us know…
London & The South East
Savvy skincare Londoners spend the most money on serums, cleansers and moisturisers – with our Capital spending more on face masks than the rest of the UK. #SundaySpa anyone?
Birmingham & The Midlands
People living in the Midlands are among the biggest spenders in makeup, with multi-cultural Birmingham splashing the most money on foundation shades in the country
North East and Yorkshire
Self tan and contouring kits are apparently massive in the North East. Sooo what we’re saying is, if Kim Kardashian were to move to the UK, she’d probs feel most at home at Geordie Shore. Wye Aye Kim, pet.
Cities in the North West are aaall about the salon treatment. Although women in Liverpool love their fake tan, they’re way more likely to opt for a professional spray tan than DIY it. Where as in Manchester, brows are the word with brow treatments topping elsewhere in the UK. We’re blaming The Real Housewives Of Cheshire for this one…
Up in bonnie Scotland, grooming treatments top beauty sales. Gel nails are one of the most popular in-salon treatments… as are sunbed sessions. #NaughtyScots!
Northern Ireland is the only region in the UK where eyeshadow sales outperform lipstick and mascara. We love our Anastasia Beverly Hills palette as much as the next girl… but we couldn’t LIVE without our mascara.
