A festival is no place for nude nails. Surely there is no better
forum to flaunt summer’s blindingly bright polishes than a sun-drenched field in the middle of nowhere? In fact, along with flower halos and knee-high hunters, statement ‘pop art’ nails are pretty much de rigueur.
We think Kate Moss’s bright berry shade, Rimmel Salon Pro with Kate in Jazz Funk, £4.49, is one of the prettiest polishes to pair with your (faux) festival glow. It’s incredibly warming, especially against olive skintones. And for seriously summery tips, we adore this dazzling sorbet shade from eco-conscious brand Kure Bazaar – Kure Bazaar Nail Polish in Turkoise, £14.95. Kimberley Wyatt loves this formula, which is 85% natural (so it’s practically a detox for your nails!).
Anna Friel reckons ORLY Nail Lacquer in Orange Punch, £10.25 is an awesome colour. “It’s perfect for the festivals I am hoping to go to!” she says, and we agree. It’s surprisingly flattering, particularly for fair skintones.
And trust Alexa Chung to dial it up a notch – along with The Sats, Jessie J and Paloma Faith, she’s a Barry M fan, and we expect to see her making a five-finger salute sporting this zingy Barry M Nail Paint in Neon Green, £3.
