It’s no secret: Sienna Miller is at the top of her beauty game. The actress has gone from strength to strength, and we have sat, watched and fallen in love with every single look she’s flaunted at Cannes Film festival.
And, her latest is no exception. Arriving at the closing ceremony in an elegant baby blue Gucci gown Carrie Bradshaw would be jealous of, her hair and makeup were understated, yet impeccable.
Sporting a softer update on the smoky eye, a pink pearlized shadow was teamed with a pink lip, golden complexion and subtle contour. A close friend of Sienna’s, Iconic make up artist Charlotte Tilbury created the majority of her makeup for this years Cannes festival and she Instagramed photos of Sienna’s final look, accompanied by a quick step by step, so us mere mortals can try and get the look at home.
First, prep the skin with Charlotte’s magic cream treat & transform moisturiser, £70, and Wonderglow Skin Illuminator £38.50. Then use Filmstar Bronze & Glow, £49, to create a subtle contour and highlight.
To achieve the gorgeous champagne smoky eye, line your eyes with Rock ‘N’ Kohl in Elizabeth Violet, £19, and apply eyeshadow pencil Colour Chameleon in dark Pearl, £19, and gently blend up into the crease of your eye. The thicker you apply the pencil the darker the colour, but to keep it light like Sienna use a small amount and blend, taking a small amount bellow the eye.
Sienna also posed with the creator of her flawless twisted beachy braids Earl Simms, who posted this snap of the pair on his Instagram, captioning it ‘…hair by @earlsimms2 using Clynol & Windle and Moodie products…’
Braids are huge right now, and the laid-back summer style is perfect on holiday or at a festival. The half-up-half-down approach keeps hair off your face so you can stay cool and look utterly stylish at the same time – practical and pretty!
Twist as you braid and hold in place with clear elastic bands, finishing the look off with lashings of hairspray. Loosely tong the rest of your hair, for a tousled, messy-chic finish. We will definitely be giving it a go this weekend!
