Ricki-Lee Coulter‘s make-up free selfie is totally beautiful, right?
Just take a look at her perfect brows, pretty eyes and flawless complexion. Oh yeah. And those stunning freckles.
That’s what her followers thought when she posted the photo to Instagram, giving it the poignant caption: ‘When I was a little girl, I hated my freckles.
‘But one day my pop told me they were just a whole lot of beauty spots and that girls with freckles are special. Now I love them!’
Unfortunately, when the Australian singer shared the same image on Facebook, some of the reactions were a little different.
Ricki-Lee was soon accused of hiding her freckles in pictures where she’s wearing make-up.
As one person wrote: ‘It’s nice what ur pop said but why is it majority of ur pictures u put up ur either wearing make up or photo shopped??
‘I’m sorry but u couldn’t love them too much.’
However, Ricki-Lee hit back: ‘It’s unrealistic to think that women will live their lives without wearing make up.
‘I love having a fresh face with no make up and I’ve posted hundred of pictures wearing make up – whenever I’m not working I never wear make up.’
But the messages continued. And after receiving over 2,000 mixed comments, Ricki-Lee decided to shut down things for good.
She wrote: ‘It makes me so sad that there are people out there that are so miserable in their own lives that they will turn a candid moment and a beautiful memory into something negative and nasty.
‘Please – do me and everyone else here a favour and unlike my page, then go and get yourself a life. X.’
Oooosh. Well that told ’em.
