Channel KJ for ultimate party vibes…
Still got some parties to hit? Of course you have! Even thought there are only a few weeks left until New Year’s Eve, we predict 2017 will be packed with parties. Which means we need all the beauty inspo now so we’re on point next year. Luckily, Kendall Jenner’s make up artist has decided to reveal some of his top hacks recently and we’re going to pinch them!
Aidan Keough of Honey Artists, a regular Kendall beautifier, told Nylon his 5 fave ways to do party-ready beauty…
Glam Glitter Lips
Pat McGrath made super sparkly pouts a reality with her incredible Lust Lip Kits. If you can’t you’re your hands on a Pat original, Aidan says, “ Apply a clear balm under a wine or burgundy lipstick, then generously press on a loose glitter of your choice.”
Not a fan of girly glitter? Aidan has the perfect way to do grunge-sparkle…
“Instead of opting for glitter lids, give it a twist,” Aidan told Nylon, “First smudge a black kohl liner along the bottom lash line, then sweep on a balm over it with a Q-tip [cotton bud for us Brits]. Lastly, with an angled brush, pres on a glitter of your choice over the kohl.”
Update the age-old smokey eye with tones of rust and gold for the festive season! Aidan says, “Opt for warmth. I love playing around with rich brown kohls and cream shadows.” Aidan’s fave way to do this is to rim the inner eyes with a brown liner then apply a shimmering nude cream on the lids.
If you’re a major fan of dramatic eyes, try updating your usually smokey look with a pop of bright colour. Adding teal or blue to a charcoal eye will give the eyes major party power. Keep the rest of the look minimal to ensure the eyes are the focus. “The trick to keeping this look modern is to keep the skin hyper fresh.”
We all know what strobing is but for the party season Aidan recommends intensified strobing. Add it to the highest points of the cheeks, Cupid’s bow and on the bridge of the nose. He also has a favourite product…
“Don’t walk. RUN and get RMS Beauty’s Magic Luminizer. Because it’s a cream, its soft particles melt into the skin and add the most radiant high beam highlighting effect.”
