The sun was shining in the South of France for the Dior Cruise 2016 Show yesterday. The impressive show was held at the famous Palais Bulles (The Palace of Bubbles) just outside of Cannes. With blue seas and palm trees in the background, the models sashayed down the catwalk in gorgeous summery dresses, but it was the make up that REALLY caught our attention!
Make-up master, Peter Philips, the Creative and Image Director for Dior Make-up, designed a fresh, dewy and natural make-up look to fit with the beachy vibes of the show. The look was seriously flattering – the model’s skin was tanned, glowing and luminious, their eyes were bright and their lips were dotted with a pretty pink glossy balm, exactly how we would want to look whilst relaxing by the poolside.
We asked Peter how he created the gorgeously glowy make-up. He revealed that he used Diorskin Star Fluid Foundation, £32.50. He says that it was “blended into the skin to give good coverage that remained luminous and transparent.” He then used Diorblush Cheekstick in Rosewood, £24 and blended this into the cheekbones and dabbed a little onto the chin too. He finished the skin with a touch of Diorskin’s Nude Cosmopolite Edition Highlighter (coming soon).
Peter curled the models lashes and “coated them with black Diorshow Mascara, £25” and tamed their brows with the Diorshow Brow Styler, £19. The lovely rosy lip was created using the Dior Addict Lip Maximizer in Sunrise 006, £23.50.
So we’ve got our make-up look down, now we just need the beach holiday!
