No-Heat Hairstyles To Try This Summer

With all the heat damage your poor locks will endure from the summer sun, why don’t you give your hair a break and try some of these cool no-heat hairstyles. They’re super easy to do and they wont stress out your strands, so put down your hair tools – the only things you’ll need to pull of these styles is yourself, some salt spray, hair bands and a few pins…

Possibly the quickest and easiest ‘do of all time, gather your hair into a ponytail, twist it together, then twist it round into a bun. Secure with a hair band if your hair isn’t long enough to back into the bun.

If you’re a tong addict this is definitely one to try. Split your hair in two and spritz some salt spray throughout. Tightly twist your hair on each side and bring up around your head, pinning them to your head. Sleep on your twists or leave in for a few hours and expect loose, natural looking waves when you unpin them. Finish off with some hairspray and you’re set – no tongs necessary!

The half up braid is the perfect style for girls who don’t really like wearing their hair up, but want to experiment a bit. It’s pretty and practical – you get to rock a cool style and it keeps your hair off your face so you can stay cool through in the heat. Start by sectioning two pieces of hair at the front and French plait each one, securing it with a hair band. If you can’t do it yourself, get someone to help you connect the two braids at the back and continue plaiting.
