Nail Brands To Know Now!

Here on the LOOK Beauty Desk, our passion for all things nail-related sees no sign of waning. From glass nails to spray-on polish – you name it, we’ve tried it. Thankfully, it seems that beauty lovers of the great British public feel exactly the same way, because every time we turn around there’s a new nail brand to try out. So pay attention, because here we bring you the latest in nail innovation that we know you’ll be dying to try…

1. Palette London

This is probably the most impressive newcomer to the nail market this year – Palette London provides a bespoke nail polish service that will turn any given colour swatch into a varnish to match. You can finally have a polish that exactly matches your face pair of heel – we know they’ve already saved us hours of hunting for the perfect polish.

2. Little Ondine

Little Ondine is completely reimagining nail polish. Their water-based, scent free polish is made from natural ingredients, without all the chemical nasties of some other varnishes. For a rich colour you’ll need 2-3 coats, and just remember to stay away from water for at least an hour afterwards. Once you feel like a change, the colour simply peels off. Feel-good varnish for fabulous fingertips.

3. Smith & Cult

We’d be surprised if you haven’t heard of Smith & Cult already, because it’s the new it-brand for beautiful nails. The formulation delivers beautifully smooth coverage and high shine, and the chunky bottle is pretty unique too. The polishes are also ‘5-free’ – made without five dangerous chemicals commonly found in nail varnish. If you want to try it out, hop to it – the whole range has already been snapped up by Net-A-Porter, so they don’t hang around for long.

4. House of Fraser Nail Stickers

We don’t have the time (or skills) to be any good at fancy nail art, but we still want something to jazz them up. Nail stickers are the answer, and these ones from House of Fraser are perfect for the upcoming festive season. Those eagle-eyed beauty mavens among you may have already spotted them in the retailer’s Christmas TV campaign. Each pack contains four sheets of stickers in silver and gold, with Christmas trees, snowflakes and more to adorn your nails. Now there’s no excuse for boring nails!

House of Fraser Nail Stickers, £5

5. Jacava

If it were up to us, we’d never be seen with bare nails, but sometimes excessive use leaves you with dry and brittle fingertips. These 100% British-made polishes from Jacava have been formulated with Vitamin E, Argan Oil and Jojoba Oil to nourish and strengthen nails whilst giving you beautiful colour at the same time. What’s more, it’s the UK’s only ‘9 free’ polish, free from not one, not two but nine toxic ingredients. Oh, and they’re 100% British made. This is guilt-free pampering, for sure!
