Michelle Keegan‘s been totally working it as a blonde bombshell ever since getting her hair dyed at the weekend.
The former Coronation Street actress swapped her trademark brunette waves for a short blonde ‘do, and even she’s admitted she’s still getting used to it.
‘It’s not right yet’, Mich reportedly told The Mirror. ‘It’s too yellow. I don’t know if [blondes] have more fun, but [Mark] likes it.’
And now, the hair stylist responsible for her dramatic makeover, Vernon Deysel, has spoken out about how her transformation came about.
Vernon, who’s Creative Colour Director at the Paul Edmonds London salon, turned Michelle into a blondie for her upcoming role in ITV series Bobby And Tina. And guess what? He spilled that the minute she’s done filming, he’s dying it straight back to brown. Ooh.
So, how did he do it? Well, Vernon played around with different tones of colour to take Mich’s natural brown hair to a cool blonde shade – all of this took less than 48 hours.
He then applied two sets of amino-free pre-lightener whilst using Olaplex treatment to throughout the process to strengthen Keegan’s hair and to leave it glossy and shiny.
For her after-care, Michelle has been applying intensely moisturising at-home treatments to keep her locks in good condition.
If you’re after a hair hue transformation like Mich’s, make sure you see a professional before getting it dyed.
