Kristen Stewart’s Brand New Beauty Campaign

Kristen Stewart’s CV reads like our dream list of jobs, quite frankly. She’s starred in one of the most successful film franchises of all time (Twilight, just in case you were wondering) and has several lucrative fashion campaigns under her belt. She’s been the face of a Balenciaga fragrance, Chanel’s eyewear and two of Chanel’s Métiers d’art collections, one of which is to be released in March. Kristen even starred as Coco Chanel herself in Once and Forever, a short film directed by Karl Lagerfeld. Now, the French fashion house has recruited her for her very first beauty campaign: Chanel’s new 2016 Eyes Collection.

Photographed by Mario Testino, the full campaign will be revealed in March. But according to WWD, the portraits of Kristen all “incarnate the different facets of a contemporary woman.”

In the sneak peek we do have, the actress shows off just one, immaculately made-up eye with her dark hair in a tousled bob.

2016 looks to be a big year for Kristen. As well as her work for Chanel, she is scheduled to appear in films Personal Shopper, directed by Olivier Assayas and Billy Lynn’s Long Halftime Walk, directed by Ang Lee. Kristen is also attached to an as-yet untitled film by Woody Allen, also set to star Blake Lively and Steve Carell.

Kristen’s second Chanel campaign of 2016 sees her as the face of the ‘Paris in Rome’ collection, shown at the legendary Cinecittà film studios in December last year. For the catwalk presentation, Chanel had recreated an entire Parisian street, complete with Metro station, providing the usual amount of spectacle we’ve come to expect from Karl Lagerfeld and his team.

Staged in place of a Pre-Fall collection, Chanel’s Métiers d’Art acts as a showcase for the fashion house’s specialist artisans. They are the providers of everything from delicate lace to intricate embroidery and gold-trimmed buttons; all those details that Chanel does so well, basically.

With fashion week just around the corner, we can’t wait to see what Chanel has up its sleeve for AW16. Whatever it is, we have no doubt that Kristen will be watching from the front row.
