Get Kim K’s Wet Eyeshadow Look Using CONCEALER

This is not a drill! Kim Kardashian’s dewy eyeshadow look broke the Internet and her makeup artist has now revealed how he created the look. You can thank us later.

Remember Kim Kardashian’s dreamy wet eyeshadow from the Balmain Wolves campaign video? Yeah, we’re having a hard time forgetting that gorgeous look too.

Every aspect of Kim’s makeup looked flawless (obvs) in snaps of the shoot, but we were particularly drawn to the glossy finish on her eyelids… is that the smell of a new beauty trend being set in the air?

Either way, Kim’s makeup artist Mario Dedivanovic has done beauty junkies everywhere a HUGE favour by letting us in on the secret behind this beauty look. Ta, Mario!

You will be surprised and probably a bit relieved to hear that this look actually doesn’t involve a single scrap of eyeshadow.

Yup, no eyeshadow, no difficult blending, no fuss but a gorgeous AF eye look. Amazing result if you ask us…

On an Instagram post Mario reveals “to achieve a look like this on the eyes, I used a cream concealer in a darker shade on the lids (as a shadow) followed by the eye gloss”.

So, the cat’s out of the bag… Instead of a matte and powdery eyeshadow, Mario opted for a creamy concealer to create this gorgeous nude smokey eye.

Switching out shadow for dark concealer shade is an effortless way to get an easy to blend, satin finish eye look.

Not only are concealers a lot easier to blend because of their consistency, but they are also formulated to be layered, so you’re in full control of the opacity of the colour in question.

Fancy a sheer wash of colour? Just apply one layer. But if you want a more pigmented colour, layer up.

To create THAT wet finish that we are all obsessing over, Mario uses an ultra dewy eye gloss on top of the concealer to complete the look.

LOOK recommends MAC Studio Eye Gloss, £17.50 and NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer, £22.50 to recreate Kim K’s look.
