Kendall and Kylie Jenner’s secret eyelash tip revealed

From Kendall and Kylie Jenner to Khloe and Kim Kardashian, we all know that the most glam family in showbiz love their false eyelashes.

But did you know the clever criss-cross technique they’ve all been using, that’ll make your eyes look wider and your falsies more natural? Aha!

Though you have to be rather eagle eyed to spot it, Kendall, Kylie and Khloe have been wearing their lashes in a new way recently, and it’s all down to LA make-up artist Hrush Achemyan.

A key member of the girls’ glam squad, Hrush achieves the effect by building and layering individual lashes, placing them on the lash line one at a time.

The lashes of choice for Hrush are from the Alyssa set of mixed singles and clusters – which come in varying sizes so you can place short ones in the corners and longer ones on the outer edges – from Middle Eastern beauty brand Huda Beauty.

Now let’s look at that technique in detail…

To get a more open eyed effect that still looks natural rather than retro or doll like, Hrush builds up the thickness by using clusters in the centre of the eye, which are placed in different directions, but always pointing gently towards the centre. This opens up the middle of the eye, for a more ‘awake’ look.

Then, to carry on the effect, she uses single lashes on the outer and inner corners of the eye, which all point upwards and outwards, to give the effect of wide, sultry, almond shaped eyes.

Of course, Kylie, Kendall and Khloe have all gone for a full-glam look, but if you’re after something a little more natural, just use fewer lashes in the same way.

It’s a fiddly technique, which no doubt takes some practice! But the effect is far less obvious than some strip lashes.
