When Kate Hudson reveals body and beauty tips, we listen. When she reveals the entire contents of her bathroom cabinet? Well, we jumped for joy, memorised the whole lot and then scoured the internet to find out where we can buy them!
From the shampoo that keeps her hair soft and shiny, to the moisturiser and eye cream which keep her looking fresh-faced, here’s what Kate Hudson uses from top to toe…
Whether she’s doing boho waves or a glam updo, Kate’s hair always looks in tip top condition, with plenty of shine. And the secret to her glossy locks? Salon brand Kérastase.
Kate starts off by shampooing with the Kérastase Nutritive Bain Nutri-Thermique, £14, which has been developed especially for dry hair. It locks in nourishment, and helps to protect hot styling tools from leaving your locks limp.
Then, and this is the secret weapon, she gives her hair a moisture boost with the Kérastase Chronologiste Essential Revitalising Balm, £32. A luxurious mask, the balm works to repair and replenish hair that’s been through the works, leaving it soft and shiny with plenty of bounce.
Granted, Kate’s gorgeous face is a lot to do with good genes and a healthy lifestyle, but even gym bunnies sufer from breakouts and signs of ageing, so here’s how Kate keeps hers at bay.
To cleanse, she uses the Eve Lom Cleanser, £55. The stuff of legend among beauty editors, this oil-based cleansing balm lifts grime and make-up easily, without drying out the skin.
To buff away dead skin cells and any rough patches – especially important before a red carpet close-up or spray tan! – Kate loves the Goldfaden MD Doctor’s Scrub, £65. A natural brand, this scrub teams ruby crystals (fancy!) with plant extracts to leave skin brighter and clearer.
To fight signs of ageing and keep her skin hydrated, Kate loves Elemis’ iconic Pro-Collagen Marine Cream, £80, which uses algae, rose and mimosa extracts to boost elasticity.
Taking good care of the skin around her eyes, Kate’s a fan of natural skincare line Juice Beauty. Before a red carpet event she gives her eyes a nourishing boost with the Juice Beauty Stem Cellular Instant Eye Lift two-step mask, £72, which brightens dark circles and reduces any puffiness. Then, dabs on the Juice Beauty Stem Cellular Repair Eye Treatment, £42, to lift and firm the skin under and around the eyes.
A slick of By Terry’s Baume de Rose, £39, on her lips to nourish and protect, and that’s Kate’s face regime done! Phew.
A lover of all things natural and organic, Kate lathers up with Dr Bronners Organic Lavender Castile Liquid Soap, a bargain at £5.50, which uses coconut and hemp oils to leave skin soft and smooth, plus lovely lavender to calm the senses.
To keep her skin soft and supple, she then slathers on the Epicuren Kukui Coconut After Bath lotion, £42. Another nature-led brand, the lotion teams avocado oil and shea butter with coconut extracts, for a light lotion that rebalances your skin’s moisture levels.
