Carolina Herrera is known for its classic yet girly style. It is young and fresh yet still classy and minimal, and is worn by the likes of the fabulous Pippa Middleton and Olivia Palermo.
The SS16 show at New York Fashion Week made this evident, as the models walked down the runway wearing beautiful long flowy dresses and stylish knee-length shift dresses, teamed with simple strappy shoes.
The hair and make-up look at CH NYFW was beautifully classy to, and it was inspired by the inner beauty of the soul shining through, so all the colours used were natural and the models were given a fresh, innocent, dewy look.
The hair was done by Orlando Pita, who blow dried the models’ hair with Tresemme’s Make Waves Cream, and then flattened it down before spraying Smooth and Silky (coming soon) over the top to settle any fly-aways, then using a wide tong, created waves from where the hair meets the scalp.
The make-up was by Diane Kendall using MAC. She started with the new foundation for a light weight base to even out the skin tone. Then, two eyeshadows were mixed, Enchanted Forest and Joy Toy, (also coming soon!) over the lid and right up to the brow bone. Blush Baby blusher was then applied to the apples of the cheeks with a brighter blush on top for a pop of colour.
For the lips, a nude pencil was used to outline and colour in, then Promise Me lipstick was applied all over and Retro Matte Liquid Lipstick was then put over the top using a lip brush.
All of the girls were given white Carolina Herrera shirts with their names on them. Models included Alana Zimmer, Martha Hunt and Sam Rollinson.
