Gigi Hadid: Beauty Secrets From Maybelline’s New Girl

Gorgeous Gigi Hadid, who is the new face of Maybelline New York, recently revealed her beauty secrets in an inteview with Into The Gloss. Covering all things beauty, hair and makeup, the model revealed some of her favourite products and beauty rituals.

ON MAKEUP: ‘If I’m going to an event, I love Charlotte Tilbury Filmstar Bronze & Glow, £49, for contouring and highlighting,’ she said. ‘Sometimes I do liquid eyeliner—Urban Decay’s 24/7 Waterproof Liquid Eyeliner, £14.50, then after I do all my makeup, if it starts feeling a little dry, I’ll use Epicuren Protein Mist Enzyme Toner to make my skin look fresher.’

ON HAIR: ‘I don’t wash my hair every day, which is what keeps it healthy because that way it doesn’t dry out. Being on the beach all the time gave me my original highlights [Gigi now lives in New York, but is orignally from California] but I get some balayage highlights on top so when it grows out you can’t tell it’s been coloured.’

ON SKINCARE: ‘I wash my face with the cheap stuff from CVS. Whenever I run out I just go and pick whichever one I think looks the coolest or smells good. Right now it’s the St. Ives Invigorating Apricot Scrub, £4.19. Then I use Eucerin Dry Skin Intensive Lotion, £13.50, for my body. I think that if you’re going to splurge on something to use at night, it should be the lotion that you use after you wash your face at the end of it all—make it something that will actually take care of your skin. I use Chanel Hydra Beauty Crème Riche, £50. I travel every week, and if I’m going on really long fights, I always take Maybelline’s Clean Express! Makeup Remover Facial Cleansing Towelettes, Chanel’s Hydra Beauty Crème Riche, and the Dior Crème de Rose Smoothing Plumping Lip Balm.’

ON MAYBELLINE: ‘I feel like because I’m the face of Maybelline, I should step up my makeup game, but I don’t think I’ll ever be the type of person to be bored on a Sunday and try ten different things just to take it all off. ‘

And if we couldn’t love her any more, she also admitted ‘burgers and fries are my weakness’. We hear you, Gigi.

Gigi and Bella Hadid at the Global Lyme Alliance Gala

After walking the catwalks of Europe for Fashion Week, model sisters Gigi and Bella were back in the Big Apple to support their mother, former model Yolanda Foster, at the Global Lyme Alliance Gala. Yolanda suffers from Lyme Disease, and last night revealed that Gigi’s siblings, Bella and Anwar, are suffering from the disease too.

Lyme disease is a bacterial infection transmitted by tics, which currently has no cure. If left untreated, it can cause swelling of joints, memory problems and may affect the nervous system.

Gigi, dressed up in a white strapless gown, looked gorgeous with her long locks pulled back into a high pony. She was joined by new beau Joe Jonas; their first red carpet appearance together. Gigi’s sister Bella looked equally stunning in a black high-neck keyhole dress.
