Fake Tan Dilemmas All Addicts Will Understand

We’ve all been down the road of imagining ourselves with a beautifully natural glow, which turns out to look like we’ve poured lucozade all over ourselves with a blind fold on. We know it doesn’t always go to plan and we wanted to share the top dilemmas all fake tanners have, so you don’t feel alone!

Getting a different colour on your body than your face

This is one of the most common of fake tanning mistakes. The best way to avoid this happening is by applying the same tan to your face and body, rather than leaving your face bare for make-up to fix by itself. Just make sure you use a natural tan rather than a harsh one full of chemicals. We suggest Clarins Delicious Self Tanning Cream.

Streaky bacon legs

Well this is just standard really. Don’t be lazy and just fake tan straight after your average shower. Spend time exfoliating and concentrating on your elbows, knees, hands and feet. When you have dry skin, even if it doesn’t look dry there’s always a few layers that will need scrubbing off for your tan to last. So scrub it off before you tan it up! Our fave is Sienna X Exfoliating Spritz.

Smelling of fake tan

The whole point of fake tanning is that we want people to think that we’re naturally this bronzed. So there’s no worse give-away than stinking of it! Our favourite non-smelling tan is the Fake Bake Flawless Liquid. It has a lovely coconut fragrance at first application, then after your shower, no smell at all!

Now you can fake tan until your heart’s content without anyone suspecting anything.

Happy tanning!
