Chrissy Teigen. Is there anything that woman can’t do? Not only is she a total stunner, awesome TV presenter, smokin’ hot swimwear model and totally hilarious on instagram/twitter, she’s also an ah-mazing cook! Yep one look at Teigen’s instragram feed and you could easily think she’s a 5star chef – and we’re not just saying that because we love her!
So whilst we’ve been busy stalking her instagram – to feed our on-going girl crush – we’ve also been bookmarking some pretty ah-mazing recipes that Chrissy has cooked up. Check these out…
Baked Eggs In Ham Cups – Delish!
To make the baked egg ham cups you’ll need..
- Sliced ham
- Mozzarella balls
- Basil pesto
- A handful of cherry tomatoes, sliced in quarters
- Salt and pepper to season
Line your ramekins with ham, before layering in the mozzarella pearls, add in enough pesto to cover the cheese, then load up on the sliced tomato – but make sure you leave enough room for the egg! Then crack the egg over the to and bake in the oven for 22-25mins at 190 degrees.
Once cooked use a fork to lift the ham cup from the ramekin and serve with sliced avocado (optional, but highly recommended by team LOOK).
Pesto Chicken With Pecorino And Prosciutto (Yum!)
To make the pecorino pesto you’ll need..
- 2 cups of basil
- 4 cloves of garlic
- 2/3 cup of olive oil
- 1/4 cup pine nuts
- 1/2 finely grated percorino
- A pinch of salt and pepper
Once you’ve got everything, simply blend (except the cheese) together in a food processor. Then fold in the cheese once blended.
For the rest you’ll need…
- Chicken breast
- Half a tomato
Pour the pesto over the chicken breasts and then wrap them in a few slices of the prosciutto. Then pop them in oven for 200 degrees for 20mins.
Whilst your chicken is cooking dash a little olive oil in a frying pan and sauté your spinach until it looks ‘wilted and sad’ – Chrissy’s words, not ours 😉
Then when your chicken is ready to serve, simply lay your spinach on the plate, add a few slices of tomato and pop your chicken on top. Et voila!
Hasselback Potatoes (nope, you’re not dreaming..)
What you’ll need to make hasselback potatoes…
- Potatoes (not too big, as they can be tricky to slice thinly)
- Olive oil
Start by thinly slicing your potatoes – keep them about 1/8 inch wide and only take the slices around 2/3 of the way through the potato. Add a drizzle of olive oil and a sprinkle of herbs, like rosemary and basil (optional). Then pop in the oven for 40mins to roast. Once cooked, remove from the oven and grate some parmesan over the potato along with a dollop of butter. Yum, yum, yummmm…
