Cate Blanchett arrived on the BAFTA red carpet looking as graceful and elegant as ever this year.
If there’s one thing the 46-year-old actress, who was up for Best Actress for her role in Carol, knows, it’s how to pick a red carpet winner.
And this year was no different, as Cate turned up in a striking floral embroidered Alexander McQueen dress with a full feather skirt.
And the impressive frocks didn’t stop there for the star, as later she changed into an equally stunning black-and-white creation that had Blanchett’s class written all over it. WOW.
But whilst the A-lister’s style was faultless, beady-eyed viewers couldn’t help but notice a tiny make-up faux pas suffered by the star on the night.
Because despite that flawless matte skin, peachy blush and subtle flash of mascara all being totally on-point, Cate had a minor incident with her lipstick on the night.
It’s the beauty blunder that’s happened to ALL women at some point in their lives – lippy on the teeth.
Yep, Blanchett’s pretty pink stain had bled onto her teeth as she gave her biggest smile to the cameras, but ever the pro, she carried on business as normal.
So, what’s the trick to stop this from happening to you? Well, it’s super easy.
After you apply your lipstick, put your finger in your mouth, close your mouth around your finger and slide your finger out. This should remove any lippy that has gotten on the inner part of your lips that touches your teeth.
Phew! Danger averted. And Cate, you still looked great.
