The Catwalk-Inspired Make-Up We Can’t Get Enough Of

The military trend isn’t just for wardrobes… Take your new season make-up cue from Burberry. The Brit design house’s autumn/winter 15 make-up collection has dropped and we’re obsessed.

Inspired by the catwalk’s ‘Patchwork, Pattern & Prints’ collection, we’re crushing on camouflage and military greens.
Meet the star piece in the new line-up, the Runway Palette, £45. Khaki green, nude and black combine in a bold camo print for your eyelids. Be quick, this seriously cool designer collectable is limited edition.

The new collection was debuted backstage back in February, as worn by Burbs supermodel army Malaika Firth, Edie Campbell and co.

“The autumn/winter 2015 make-up look is all about the eyes – we created a modern, romantic veil of colour on the eyes inspired by natural tones,” says Burberry Make-up’s artistic consultant Wendy Rowe.

Our other must-have? The limited edition Runway Nail Collection Camouflage trio, £45, also previewed on models’ runway talons. Paint on the high-gloss Khaki Green, Cadet Green or Poppy Black to nail the shades of the season – also available individually for £15 each.

Update your eye make-up for AW15 with the Effortless Kohl Eyeliner, £18.50, in new shades of Storm Green or Antique Gold. Wear as a defined liner, or smudge for more of a military-inspired smokey eye.

Think of this injection of green as a seriously cool update for black or navy. Look to drop-dead gorgeous face of the campaign, Amber Anderson, for inspiration on just how wearable khaki tones can be.

According to Rowe, translucent nude lips are the perfect accompaniment to this season’s earthy tones. Check out Burberry Kisses in Nude Beige, £25, for a model-like pout like Amber.

Prepare for combat at the tills. This kind of camouflage is made to be seen.
