Festival season may be coming to an end but bold braided hairstyles are officially here to stay…
Here in the LOOK office we can’t get enough of braided hair right now.
Whether you’re at work, a wedding or just having a relaxing day at home braids look absolutely gorgeous and instantly make your hairstyle just that little bit more interesting.
In the past few weeks, celebs have been working them left, right and centre and we are SERIOUSLY in love with a bunch of different braids that have caught our eyes.
Pretty In Plaits
She’s our ultimate beauty icon right now (obviously) and we love this pretty braided look on Margot Robbie.
She’s simply braided the top of her hair and then pinned it to create an effortlessly adorable style.
You could easily recreate this up do but with any style braid you prefer, this is the ultimate rule free plait look.
The Unicorn Braid
Yes, now you’ve really seen it all. This quirky look is known as the unicorn braid or (our personal fave name) brohawk which is a braid mohawk.
Kristen Stewart and Tyra Banks perfectly demonstrate that the unicorn braid looks fierce on both short and long hair. Yassss, browhawks for everyone!
We recommend backcombing the roots of your hair before braiding to get an even higher unicorn braid.
Blinged Up Braids
Make your braid instantly high key by adding some accessories to your plait!
We will be copying Shay Mitchell’s hair ring adorned back braid ASAP and her statement look as definitely got the braid bling inspo flowing.
We now have our hair rings, hair gems and hair tattoos at the ready!
Young, Wild and Free
How gorgeous is this tousled, multiple braid look?!
Katerina Graham has slayed the braid game with this goddess-like style.
Create this look yourself by forming many vertical plaits and then where they meet in the middle, braid into a gorgeous plait while leaving the bottom half of your hair to flow freely. When finished, gently pull apart the braids for more boho, relaxed look.
The milkmaid braid may be the perfect third day up do. Easily conceal oily roots while also looking super cute? It’s a ‘yes’ from us!
We love how Stacey Solomon has purposely left strands of hair out of her milkmaid braid, it gives a real effortless and pretty flair to the look, which we think is totes adorbs.
