Beauty Tried And Tested: The Best Peel-Off Face Masks

Want to know how to spring-clean your pores? Then LOOK’s very own Beauty Editor Sophie Beresiner and LOOK reader Jayne Hiddleston are here to help, as they’ve searched the high street to find the four best peel-off face masks to put to the test…

Beauty Editor: This smelt ultra-fresh and felt cool on my face. It was super- easy to peel off, too. Overall, it’s a good no-frills product.
Jayne: I liked how this mask contained antibacterial tea tree oil, as I have always found tea tree effective on my skin. It had a zingy fragrance, was easy to apply and peeled off with ease.

Beauty Score: 5/5
Beauty Editor: This smelt lovely and peeled off a treat. My skin looked brighter afterwards, but I like to slather on a face mask and you don’t get much product for your money with this one.
Jayne: This mask has a nice, fresh floral fragrance without being overpowering. It dried within 10 minutes and peeled off easily, leaving my skin feeling really cleansed and soft.

Beauty Score: 4/5
Beauty Editor: Amazing. This mask was the hardest working of the lot. Designed for blackheads, acne or sun-damaged skin, it removes skin impurities when you peel it off.
Jayne: This product felt like it was really working and there was a slight tingling effect when I applied it. However, the thick consistency meant it didn’t dry properly.

Beauty Score: 3/5
Beauty Editor: This herbal mask was so natural, I didn’t know whether to put it on my skin or eat it! I loved mixing it all myself, but save it for a night in – it takes a while.
Jayne: Hmm, this was a strange one! I found it tricky to get the correct consistency, but the oil blends added a lovely zesty scent. It wasn’t the easiest to peel off, though.
