Beauty Tried And Tested: The Best High-Shine Lipglosses

On the lookout for a squeezy tube that’ll give you a high-shine pout? Then LOOK’s very own Beauty Editor Sophie Beresiner and LOOK reader Annabel Wilson are here to help, as they’ve tried and tested the best high-shine lipglosses on the high street…

Beauty Editor: The very definition of bubblegum pink. I loved the smooth creamy consistency and it felt more waxy than sticky on my lips.

Annabel: I liked the sweet vanilla scent and the silky feel made my lips look very glossy. I had to reapply it a few times, though, as it didn’t keep my lips glossy for long. Beauty Score: 4/5

Beauty Editor: This had a gel-like consistency that made it tricky to apply evenly. But once it was on, it wasn’t going anywhere! Exfoliate your lips thoroughly before applying.
Annabel: Although this came out a bit gloopy, it made my lips the most gorgeous shiny pink shade. It felt like Vaseline and kept my lips soft for hours. Beauty Score: 3/5
  • Shu Uemura Vinyl Unlimited in Pink, £18
Beauty Editor: Wow, talk about a colour pop! This fuchsia shade might not be everyone’s cup of tea, but if you’re brave enough, go for it!
Annabel: The colour lasted well and the glossy sheen gave me a great pout. The bright pink shade was very girlie, and although I wouldn’t usually pay this much, it was worth the price. Beauty Score: 3/5
  • MAC Lip Gelee in Lush & Bright, £12
Beauty Editor: Coral is your make-up’s go-to colour this spring, especially for lips. This punchy shade looked really cool on my Saturday night out. I’m keeping this one!
Annabel: A great quality product with a delicious fruity smell. It lasted well, even after eating and drinking. I think this sexy gloss would look great with a tan, too. Beauty Score: 5/5
