Remember when Amanda Holden covered for Lorraine Kelly on Lorraine earlier this month?
Despite the fact that she did a fab job in the presenting slot, she still ended up on the receiving end of quite a few harsh comments.
Some viewers felt more compelled to talk about Amanda’s looks than the show itself. And one topic that kept coming up was the suggestion that she’s had cosmetic work done.
Cruel messages included: ‘I can barely recognise Amanda Holden these days,’ and: ‘What has happened to @AmandaHolden’s face? She looks like a waxwork.’
However, one famous lady has stuck up for the 45-year-old – The Saturdays’ Frankie Bridge.
In her OK! column, Frankie says: ‘I love her, and I don’t think it’s fair that people are criticising her appearance while she was filling in for Lorraine Kelly last week.’
Frankie, 27, continues by saying that even if Amanda HAS undergone a treatment (which she’s never confirmed), she’s well within her rights to do so.
She says: ‘They’re saying she’s had too much Botox, but surely it’s up to the individual person what they do?
‘Whether she has or hasn’t, I don’t see why people are bothered, it’s not their face!’
We hear you, lady.
Amanda is now busy with the new season of Britain’s Got Talent, which started last Saturday.
It’s safe to say the mum-of-two had a pretty exciting first episode, having pressed the golden buzzer for 12-year-old singer Beau Dermott.
The talented youngster will now sail straight through to the semi-finals, and is already a favourite to win the series.
We can’t wait to see what happens this weekend…
