Adriana Lima Shares Her Beauty And Fitness Secrets

As if life wasn’t stressful enough already, Brazilian bombshell Adriana Lima celebrates her 34th Birthday today (yes, really!). And even though we know that most of her exceedingly good looks are down to genes, her incredible body is not without hard work.

One of the first Victoria’s Secret models, Adriana’s body, more specifically her legs, are the stuff of every woman’s dreams. With summer around the corner, it’s fair to say we could all use a little help getting bikini body ready; and who better to give it to us, right?

What is the secret behind your amazing Victoria’s Secret body?

I try and exercise as much as I can, boxing is my favourite, but it depends what my schedule is like. If I’m traveling I either bring my jump rope with me and try and jump for 10minutes or if there’s not room I’ll go for a run outside.

So what’s your ‘flat tum’ trick before a big show?

I try and eat as healthy as possible with lots of vegetables, grilled fish and stuff like that. I love teas, juices and smoothies as well. I usually mix mango and mint (my new fave) or kale, cucumber and apple.

What are your favourite foods?

Chocolate cake! I love molten chocolate cake, especially with vanilla ice cream on top.

Do you have any pre-show beauty rituals you swear by?

Working out is a beauty ritual for me, I find sweating to be the best natural detox, it gives my face a nice glow. I also like to get a bit of a tan if I’m getting my body out, I use a rich body scrub to buff it back to brightness and I swear by oxygen facials to plump my skin.

Do you ever get nervous before you hit the catwalk?

Yes, but there is nothing I can do to not be nervous. Sometimes I listen to up beat music, I’m love Iggy Azalea’s song Fancy.

What is your top beauty tip?

I’m obsessed with argan oil. I apply it to my hair, my face and my whole body. It doesn’t really matter what brand you use, as long as it’s all natural. And to make my body look it’s best, I mix together a bit of illuminator with my body moisturiser, then apply it everywhere!

What products are always in your beauty bags?

Everyday I wear mascara and tinted lipbalm. I love Maybelline Pumped Up mascara, it’s amazing for giving volume and length to lashes. And on my lips I love  Maybelline Baby Lips in Cherry Me, £2.99, because you can put a bit on cheeks too for a little glow.

What hair essential could you not live without?

I love to have a keratin Brazilian blow dry treatment, it helps close all the hairs cuticles making it smoother, shinier and healthier.
