Ok we’ve seen beautiful bronzing time and time again, but something exciting happened on day one of London Fashion Week, and it’s kickstarted a whole new beauty trend… 3D bronzer.
Yep, we went backstage at the J JS Lee show to see model’s getting primped and preened before they took to the catwalk and that’s where lead Make-Up Artist, Lucy Burt, explained how 3d bronzing was this season’s answer to contouring and the trick behind the model’s glowing, healthy skin.
The secret to 3d bronzing is layering moisturising oils, cream highlighters, a micro-shimmer bronzing powder and a dewy-finish cream blush to get a hyper glow that’s almost reflective (without a chunky glitter fleck in sight).
Here’s how Lucy created the look backstage at J JS Lee…
Step 1. Start with MAC’s Care Blend Oil, apply it all over the face to add a serious hydration boost and give an instant sheen.
Step 2. Highlight the high points of the face with MAC’s Climax highlight, over cheekbones, the nose and inner corners of the eyes.
Step 3. Sweep MAC’s Mineralize Skin Finish in Global Glow, £24, all over the face, it contains gold flecks so will instantly make your skin look elevated exactly where you place it. The 3d-like pop gives skin the effortless glow.
Step 4. Finally give your cheeks a flush of blush, with MAC’s SS16 forecast palette using shade Seen Around Town over the apples of the cheeks and dabbed over lips.

Now, it’s definitely not the first time we’ve seen bronzer taken to the max for SS16. Over in New York we saw golden girls on the catwalk at Michael Kors, including the likes of Kendall Jenner, who rocked a beautiful bronze sheen.
So if you invest in one thing for next season make sure it’s an ah-mazing bronzer, because you’re guaranteed to get every penny’s worth.
