They’re a cinch with a waving wand. In minutes you can walk out of the door with beachy locks just like Made In Chelsea’s Rosie Fortescue. Glam Hollywood curls are a great option too. With the right amount of tight curl of you can fake a shoulder-skimming bob, but wear them loose and you’ll be swishing at the centre of the spotlight.Fringes love mid-length locks too. Wear yours long and roughed up like Alexa Chung or go for a shorter statement look like Kerry Washington. Then of course, there are the endless updo options. Ponytails look bouncier and edgier with mid-length hair, especially if you add plenty of texture with a spritz of dry shampoo or texturising spray. Also, you won’t be carrying the weight of longer, heavier hair – so no mid-day headache for you!Topknots look great with mid-length styles, and you could experiment with half-up, half-down looks like Rita Ora’s hairdo at the X Factor 2015 auditions. Then come braids and plaits – of all kinds! Festival Fashion Must-Have Buys

With V Festival kicking off this weekend, it's time to start preparing your wardrobe. Because girl's got to look good on the field, no?First things first, we always turn to our favourite festival style idols for inspiration. Ask yourself what do Kate Bosworth, Alexa Chung and Kate Moss where to look stylish but comfortable? Because that’s the thing with festivals - more than anything, they’re a test of endurance. If you’re worrying about what you’re wearing when you’re there, you’re not having enough fun. You want to look stylish but you also want to be able to dance until the wee hours without being in pain or soaking wet and that’s where the essentials come in.Whatever you do, make sure you have a waterproof jacket. It’s the easiest thing to forget but, thanks to the unpredictable British weather, it’s hands down the most important thing you could buy. The good thing is that keeping dry doesn’t mean compromising on style because everyone from Topshop to New Look are brimming with styles that range from see-through options so your outfit doesn’t go to waste, through to some in fun, block coloured hues.Wellies fit in the practical camp too but the styles on the high street are far from boring. We’re so in love with New Look’s sparkly Chelsea boots, we secretly want it to rain just to give us an excuse to whip them out!Once you have the essentials, it’s time to get playful. Trade in your neon for fringing in earthy tones that give a nod to the seventies trend we can’t get enough of right now. Channel Kendall Jenner at Coachella and swap jeans for loose fit flared trousers for those days when the weather’s on the chilly side. No festival wardrobe is complete without a trusty pair of denim cut offs. A true festival staple, we’ll be pairing ours with a distressed band tee and fringed waistcoat or a chic 70s-inspired billowing blouse, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley-style.And don’t forget about accessories – they’re the key ingredients to rework your looks. This summer we’re going for fringed drawstring bags, multi-chain necklaces (perfect for sprucing up basics) and statement sunglasses. To make the hunt for the right pieces that little bit easier, we’ve scoured the high street for the hero pieces you need on your radar so sit back, click through and prepare to shop!

Cord Is Officially Back With A Bang

Corduroy is back in full force and who else to spear head the trend other than Alexa Chung.  It’s the retro trend that all the fash pack are jumping onto right now and we are sure you all will be too once they see these great picks! We’d seen cord – the somewhat fusty fabric usually reserved for history teachers – make an appearance at the autumn/winter 2015 Topshop Unique show, but it wasn’t until La Chung rocked a J.W. Anderson cord skater frock that we began to seriously consider it’s return to our wardrobe. Since then, we’ve spotted Alexa’s pal Tennessee Thomas and Diana Vickers bringing the one-time classic out of style hibernation in the form of button down skirts and retro flares. Of course, it’s not hard to see how cord has sneaked back onto the fashion front line for the new season. The ribbed fabric enjoyed a style heyday back in the ‘70s, which, if you hadn’t noticed, is the decade fashion is currently enjoying a major love in with. Jane Birkin was a cord devotee.Kate Moss – always one to play by her own wardrobe rules - has been wearing it for years. Need anymore convincing that cord is cool again? Just check out your favourite high street haunts. As well as the sky blue Unique catwalk pieces – touching down on September 9 – Topshop has everything from high-waisted flares to office-appropriate midi’s and shirtdresses. Boden and Next have timeless straight leg trousers nailed, while Zara and M&Co are championing cord frocks and New Look has some summer friendly tan shorts. Colour-wise, think hues of blue, tan, rust and burgundy, or pastels for a truly modern spin, and clash with silks, chiffons, jerseys and leathers. Trust us, all the coolest girls will be wearing cord this season, and if you want to get a head start check out this amazing cord selection here…
