Pixie Lott Glams Up The Brits Bash!
Pixie Lott and Fearne Cotton stole the red carpet spotlight at last night's Brit Awards Nominations party with their blonde hair and bright pink lipstick combos. Fearne swapped her usual grungy look for a chic Olivia Rubin dress and side-swept Hollywood waves, while Pixie went for a messy updo and midnight nails to dress down her statement Little Black Dress. But it wasn’t only in the style stakes that Pixie Lott scored, bagging three nominations for British Female Solo Artist, British Single and British Breakthrough. With Lily Allen, Florence and The Machine and Lady Gaga all up for three awards each too, this years Brit’s looks set to be all about the ladies! - GG The Brit Awards is on ITV1 on Saturday 23rd January.

Drew Barrymore and Kate Hudson joined forces at the Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards 2010 this week sporting what can only be described as the perfect 1960s nude lip. Chanel Lipstick Preview
Us LOOK girls like to stay ahead of the beauty game and when we got the latest gossip from the Chanel Haute Couture 2010 show this week, we couldn’t wait to share it.
Whilst others were distracted by the grey streaks in models’ hair (a new hairstyle trend that Kate Moss was snapped with in Paris), we were drawn to the gorgeous peachy orange lips. A softer, girlier version of this season’s statement lip but still with enough pop to freshen up even the most tired of complexions. And turns out, the lipstick is a brand new shade called Genial that’s launching this summer as an addition to the Rouge Allure line. Hooray! It's probably the only couture that most of us will ever own so get ready: we predict a waiting list frenzy! - JH

We have exclusive access to celebrity make-up artist Lou Page’s make-up tricks from the Brit Awards 2010. She sent over her Fearne Cotton and Alesha Dixon face charts first thing this morning so we can share with you! Lou says, “Fearne’s look was all about perfect skin, dramatic eyes and statement lips. I recommend using a mineral foundation to even out skin tone and improve skin clarity. I swept her eyelids with a neutral light brown to open up the eyes and complement the heavy black eyeliner and lashings of mascara. Kate Bosworth Makes Her Neutrals Pop!
Kate Bosworth bowled us over with another killer look last night. At the Calvin Klein autumn/winter 2010 after-show party in New York, she gave us a fashion masterclass in pulling off tricky neutral shades by pairing her off-the-shoulder dress with postbox-red lips and heels. Who knew four simple pieces could combine to create an outfit with so much oomph? That's whittled our weekend shopping list right down – cheers Kate! GG

Jessica Alba Defies the Beauty Rules
It's probably true to say that when you look like Jessica Alba, you can pretty much wear whatever takes your fancy. But now she's proved she can do the same with her make-up too. We've always strictly obeyed the ‘focus on your eyes or your lips’ make-up rule, but now she's gone and sported both at the same time – and managed to carry it off.
Her smouldering smoky eye was completed with a hint of shimmering gold in the inner corners of her eyes (beauty experts tell us that's how to make your eyes look brighter and more awake), and she finished off the look with a slick of juicy redcurrant lipstick. We think she looks super-sophisticated and hey, who doesn't love a rule breaker? JH

Beauty Tried And Tested: The Best Pink Shimmer Lipsticks
Want to know what the best beauty products are before you buy? LOOK is here to help... this week our very own Beauty Editor Sophie Beresiner and LOOK reader Rebecca Thorogood have put pink shimmer lipsticks to the test...
Beauty Editor: I liked that this was subtle, rather than a full-on sparkle. The rounded tip wasn’t great for getting a clean line, so use a brush – it’s what the pros do! Rebecca: This went on smoothly and only needed one coat. It was bright, girlie and gave a gorgeous finish. The perfect holiday lippy. Beauty Score: 4/5

Beauty Editor: This shocking pink comes out even brighter on your lips and the sheen finish guarantees a high-impact pout. Attention-seeking at its best! Rebecca: Wow. What a bright, lip-popping colour! Although it was the most matt one it didn’t dry out my lips, but it did smudge easily. Beauty Score: 3/5

Beauty Editor: A coral pink that looked like it was full of thousands of tiny crystals. It was ultra-moisturising but smudged easily so a good lip liner is a must. Rebecca: This felt slightly oily and I needed a few coats to stand out. The shimmer was pretty though. Beauty Score: 2/5

Beauty Editor: I loved this foxy pink, packed with shimmer – spot-on for autumn’s glitter lips trend. The angular tip makes it easy to apply too. Rebecca: This was very bright so the shimmer finish looked great. It felt soft and the colour stayed put. Beauty Score: 5/5

Celebrity Beauty Trend Alert: Summer 2010's Red Lips
It’s official: red lips make a sizzling summer look! Cameron Diaz showed off killer red lips with her asymmetric gunmetal grey Lanvin dress at the premiere of her new film, Knight And Day – the hotly tipped action comedy in which she stars alongside Tom Cruise.
And just in case you thought red lips were a rare summer sighting, Alexandra Burke and Karen Gillan were both sporting show-stopping pouts at the Sex And The City 2 premiere in London recently. These lovely ladies have not only proved red isn't just for autumn-winter, but that any skin tone or hair colour can pull off the ever-glamorous shade. Ke$ha’s Paintbox Pout
Those LOOK beauty girls never miss a trick. In this week's issue (out today, Tuesday 3 August 2010) they’re all about paintbox lips, and, proving that it’s definitely a celeb beauty hit, Ke$ha rocked up to the Casio Shock The World event last night sporting ice blue shimmering lips. Ok, so bright blue may be more suited to the red carpet than the office, but Ke$ha’s LBD stops it looking too OTT, and we love that she’s co-ordinated with her Casio.
