Bored of being a brunette Lily The Smile singer experiments with a couple of eye-catching wigs.
It seems even a slick new hair do isnt enough to satisfy this style chameleon. After showing of her new blunt bob and fringe only a matter of weeks ago, Lily decided to ditch the brunette and see if blondes really do have more fun for a meal out at London hotspot Nobu. Then, only a few days later, the singer hit the stage to perform her set at Glastonbury sporting a bright purple wig to match her daring plunge-neck playsuit. It looks to us as though she's been taking style tips from Lady Gaga, or perhaps this is just Lily's attempt at going incognito... Whatever the reason, we cant wait to see which colour she opts for next! We predict a redheaded Lily is on the cards

A hundred years old and the bob still makes the cut!
Its not often in this fickle industry that many styles make the hundred years old mark, but one style that has done so is the bob haircut. Lately, the bob has become more and more popular with celebrities such as Anne Hathaway, Katie Holmes, Twiggy and Jessica Alba sporting the famous cut. The man responsible for the original bob was a Parsienne hairdressed called Antoine. He created the hairstyle to change the way women viewed their locks and to change their role in society. When women first appeared with the bob it caused quite a frenzy with men, who were used to seeing their women with long, flowing locks. One of the first celebs to make the bob truly her own was actress Louise Brooks, who sported the style in '20s. Since then, the style has evolved through the ages - the latest reinvention of which has to be Victoria Beckham's Pob! The great thing about the bob is that is flatters almost every face shape and you can choose from and array of styles and cuts. Kate Moss has been spotted wearing her DIY bob long and wavy, while Agyness Deyn has a short and blunt version. Wowsers! Lily Allen took to the stage at the O2 Academy in Sheffield sporting a bright blue wig teamed with a figure-hugging leotard as she sang her heart out to the screaming crowd. The singer who is known for her striking on-stage ensembles pushed the boundaries with her most daring outfit yet, as she performed in a bright blue wig and sequinned playsuit. Its not the first time that Lily has favoured a bright wig in favour of her black locks, at Glastonbury the singer took centre stage in a purple shoulder-length wig teamed with a purple jumpsuit. Watch out Dannii Minogue, as youve a new contender just waiting to steal your versatile hair crown.

Move over Cheryl Cole, we have another celebrity hair crush and this time its Gossip Girl, Blake Lively. This week the stunning blonde bombshell stepped onto the red carpet with a long and sophisticated plait. The actress used the low-maintenance hairstyle to full effect as she attended the Emmy awards in a stunning red gown. Plaits have been seen on the heads of celebrity trendsetters such as Nicole Richie, Mary-Kate Olsen and Lauren Conrad, who have been busy twisting their hair in favour of the old school hairstyle for many, many months. The trend is easy to follow as there are hundreds of ways to wear plaits - from loose and girly to smooth and sleek. If you want to copy Blakes look then all you have to do is pull hair back into a smooth high pony, secure with elastic, then plait away to the end of your hair. Dont worry if wispy bits start coming out of your plait as this is all part of the look, just make sure you spray the top part of your head with hairspray, as you want to keep this bit as smooth as possible.
