Jessica started as she meant to go on, and scored her first athletics prize at the very early age of 11! Impressive.
As a super-sporty teen, Jessica was named Sportswoman Of The Year by her school at the age of 14!
Jessica goes from the running track to the red carpet in style – she LOVES Alexander McQueen, as you can see here!
She has been training with her coach Toni Minichiello (that’s him in the shorts) since she was 11 years old!
She studied hard to get three A-levels, and she also has a degree in Psychology from University of Sheffield – Jessica graduated in 2007!
Jessica got starstruck when she met celeb chef Jamie Oliver, and says she was super-excited when he invited her to his restaurant. We would be too!
Jessica says she’s most looking forward to spending time with her dog, Myla, now the Olympics is over. Bless!

The massive paycheques she’s expected to earn over the next four years won’t have her shopping exclusively in designer stores – she told us that she can’t wait to hit Reiss and French Connection alongside Stella McCartney, and Victoria Beckham.

Jess overcame disappointment due to an injury when she was stuck at home with a stress fracture during the 2008 Beijing Olympics.

Jess says she can’t wait to ditch the training diet for a bit, she’s been craving Chinese and Thai food, as well as some chocolate! She’ll be back on the healthy food when she starts training again though – Rio’s in four years…
The charitable athlete is patron of the Sheffield Children’s Hospital charity, as well as Barrie Wells’ sports foundation too.
When things get tough, Jessica turns to her family for support. She told us: “It’s at times like that Andy [Hill, her fiancé] and my family help pick me up. They remind me why I’m doing this and why it’s so important.”
Not only did she win the London 2012 heptathlon, she beat her nearest competitor by OVER 300 points!
