Girls Aloud have confirmed their split after performing at the last concert of their ‘TEN’ reunion tour. Sob! We’re dusting off our old albums and busting out our Sound Of The Underground dance moves in tribute today.
From Biology and The Promise, to Long Hot Summer and Whole Lotta History, we’ve got SO many favourite Girls Aloud hits there are almost too many to mention. We were SO excited about Cheryl Cole, Kimberley Walsh, Nicola Roberts, Sarah Harding and Nadine Coyle reuniting reuniting in October 2012 after three whole years apart and it’s been amazing to see them back on stage again.

Javine was almost a member of Girls Aloud, you know. If you can remember that far back, the singer competed on Popstars The Rivals alongside Cheryl Cole, Kimberley Walsh, Nadine Coyle, Nicola Roberts and Sarah Harding for a place in the band… but just missed out.
HOW different does Nadine Look back in 2002? We knew from the moment she sang that she’d be a star.
Back in 2002, Nicola Roberts had copper red hair and a very different look.
Some low-slung jeans, a v-neck top and some basic highlights are all Nadine Coyle needs.
Nicola just can’t get enough of belly-baring tops. And she loves her plaits, bless her.
In her early Girls Aloud days, Sarah Harding mimics Sporty Spice with her retro zip-up top.
Popstars The Rivals wasn’t the first time we’d seen Nadine, of course. The singer also popped up on the Irish version of the show, but was too young to take part.
Cheryl Cole’s had her fair share of image makeovers throughout her career, but this one is our favourite by far. Yep.
That’s one thing we miss about girlbands these days… why don’t they all dress the same? Sarah Harding, Kimberley Walsh and Nicola Roberts hit the town in jewel-toned lycra.
Remember the days of western boots and denim skirts? We don’t miss them…

Here’s a fun fact for you – Girls Aloud appear in the 2007 Guinness World Records for being The Most Successful Reality Group. Wowsers.
The girls have always opted for racy outfits on stage. We wonder what their 2013 tour wardrobe will be like. We can’t see Nadine squeezing back into a school uniform now.
Cheryl Cole is the only member of Girls Aloud who went on to have a successful solo career and her own solo tour.
The Girls are reunitng to celebrate their ten year anniversary and treating us to a tour, greatest hits album, AND a new single. Yay.
We can’t wait to find out which designers the Girls will be working with – but if it’s anything like the Spice Girls reunion, there’s set to be some big names on board.

Sarah enjoyed a successful stint as the face and body of Ultimo underwear. She also presented Sky Living’s Dating In the Dark in 2011.
Cheryl Cole and Kimberley Walsh have friends in high places. The pair met Prince Charles at the L’Oreal Success Awards in 2011. Cheryl now works with the Prince’s Trust for The Cheryl Cole Foundation.
Nicola Roberts is a regular at Fashion Week these days. Here she is getting cosy with her NBF, Kelis.
Cheryl Cole and Nicola Roberts are incredibly close, in fact it’s these two and Kimberley Walsh who’ve hung out the most since the girls split.
We could barely contain our excitement when Nicola Roberts and Sarah Harding hit the NME Awards in 2009. Hanging out with rockstars, eh? They are just TOO cool.
These two also flew the flag for the whole band at V Festival in 2007. We’re loving their festival wardrobes – simple, yet stylish.
The Girls became the face (and hair) of Sunsilk in 2007 – and it’s no wonder – these five have the glossiest locks we’ve ever seen.
It’s been an eventful ten years for Nicola’s tresses, too. The singer’s had her fair share of styles and has rocked every shade of red on the colour chart.
Nicola Roberts has been with boyfriend Charlie Fennell since 2008. We haven’t seen them pictured together since earlier this year, but he does keep a pretty low profile, so we’re not jumping to conclusions just yet.
For the Girls’ last public performance at the 2009 BRIT Awards, they performed their winning single The Promise in a 1920s-style show. We LOVED the pink feathers. Bring them back, girls!
In the same year, Kimberley and Cheryl climbed Kilimanjaro with Gary Barlow and Alesha Dixon, raising over £1.4million for Comic Relief.
Nicola Roberts has spoken before about her dream wedding to Charlie, telling Now magazine last year: “I’d like to get married abroad. Did you ever see that episode of Friends where Ross was getting married to Emily and they had that rundown place and candlelit the whole thing? I want somewhere like that, like a derelict church.”
Nicola Roberts released her debut solo album Cinderella’s Eyes last year. We’re STILL obsessed with her catchy track Beat Of My Drum.
Despite getting rave reviews, Nicola’s debut solo single Beat Of My Drum only reached number 27 in the charts, while her second single reached number 40.
In 2012, Nicola turned her hand to fashion, presenting Rihanna’s Styled To Rock fashion talent show alongside Henry Holland. And of course, she had time to sit on the Fashion Week FROW, too.
In her autobiography ‘Cheryl: My Story’, Cheryl Cole describes the moment that Nadine "crossed a line" by refusing to attend the BRIT Awards with the rest of the Girls, despite the fact they’d been nominated in the Best Group category. Ouch.
But Nadine has made a home in Los Angeles, and has rarely been back to London, hence her drift from the rest of the band.
Nadine Coyle joined Keith Duffy, Ronan Keating, Mikey Graham and Shane Lynch in March 2010 to pay tribute to Stephen Gately in a BBC show.
We really hope they wear these sparkly numbers for their 2013 tour.

Kimberley Walsh signed on to be the face and body of Puma last year. We’ve never seen a pair of trainers look so sexy.
Kimberley Walsh was awarded Cosmopolitan’s Ultimate Woman Award in 2009, and in the same year picked up an accolade for her role as an ambassador of the Breast Cancer Haven charity.

In 2009, Girls Aloud attended the BRIT Awards as a fivesome – this was their last public appearance as a complete group. Nadine DID attend, but we just couldn’t fit her in the picture, soz.

When Kimberley Walsh was signed up to Shrek The Musical to play Princess Fiona, Nicola Roberts and Cheryl Cole were at the opening night to support their bandmate, like a pair of proud mums.
Take a long, hard look at this picture, people – because it’s one we doubt you’ll ever see again. Cheryl and Simon still aren’t speaking after Simon fired Cheryl from The X Factor USA in 2011.
In Cheryl’s autobiography, ‘Cheryl: My Story’, the star describes the moment that she realised Ashley had been cheating. She says: “I totally lost it. I was lashing out at Ashley in every way. I hit him in the face – I couldn’t help it. I was shaking him, kicking him, scratching his face, pushing and shoving him like I was a lunatic.” Woah.
Cheryl Cole filed for divorce from Ashley in May 2010 and it was granted in September the same year.
