Flared trousers are one of the biggest trends of spring/summer 2015 so if you haven’t already, it’s time you caught the 1970s bug and slipped into a pair. From Tom Ford to Balmain, Kim Kardashian to Gigi Hadid, everybody is loving flared trousers this summer. They are the must-have trouser trend which are guaranteed to get you looking slick all season long.
The best news? The high street are totally aboard the flared trousers 1970s train and will have you kitted out in whatever style suits you best. From Topshop to ASOS and over to New Look, we’ve scoured the high street to find the hottest styles out there just for you.
One of the biggest flared trouser trends filling the shelves in our favourite stores is mega pattern. A paisley or geometric print flare is the most extreme way to chanel that fashionable decade. With a touch of hippy chic about them, a patterned pair will make the biggest statement. Channel those boho vibes and pair with a floaty white shirt with flute sleeves.
Whether you choose low or high waisted flared trousers is up to you. Personally we love a high waist because it will seriously lengthen your legs – promise! So if you don’t have legs like Rosie Huntington-Whiteley but still want to slip into a pair of flares, choose a high-waisted option and feel like you’ve got supermodel legs!
Another tip if you feel you’re a little too short to wear flares is to make sure you’re wearing heels! Super high platforms will add serious style kudos (and a dash more ’70s) to your look and will make you look like you have the longest legs in the world!
