When it comes to discussing Candice Swanepoel and her signature style, it’s hard not to state the obvious. Firstly, the 26-year-old Victoria’s Secret model just happens to be one of the most beautiful women on the planet, and secondly, Candice has the kind of body that would make a shapeless sack look couture.
The girl is just stratospherically stunning and, also happens to look pretty damn gorgeous in every outfit she wears. The lucky thing.
Born in South Africa, Candice has shot covers for Australian, Brazilian and Italian Vogue and has walked for designers such as Chanel, Oscar de la Renta, Christian Dior and Givenchy just to name a few. In 2010 she earned her wings as a Victoria’s Secret Angel, and made her debut on the Forbes’ ‘The World’s Top-Earning Models’ list. And let’s not forget THAT bra: the ‘Fantasy Bra’ created by Mouward and worth a staggering 10 million dollars that Candice modeled so elegantly for the 2013 Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show.
And when she isn’t taking the runway by storm? Candice manages to achieve an effortless red carpet glamour all her own, choosing timeless gowns that hark back to a bygone Hollywood era – a style that compliments her fantastic figure and ‘40s blonde bombshell starlet sensibility perfectly. Her decision to wear that stunning nude lace Michael Kors floor-sweeper to the 2015 Met Ball was completely inspired, and shot her to the top of the event’s lauded ‘Best Dressed’ list within moments of her stepping onto the carpet.
Add to that Candice’s great sense of off-duty cool and you’ve got a well- rounded fash package. We love how Ms Swanepoel still likes to rock battered denims and classic Converse when she’s taking time out from shooting swimwear campaigns or walking the Victoria’s Secret catwalk. Just goes to show that being crazily fabulous doesn’t mean you lose a shred of your everyday cool. Oh, and she’s BFFs with Behati Prinsloo and Rosie Huntington-Whitely. That packs some serious style game.
Take a look at some of our favourite Candice Swanepoel style moments thus far – we anticipate there will be many more to come.
