Zara Holland Goes Head-To-Head With New Miss GB On Loose Women

The Love Island star ends up in a heated discussion about her de-crowning...

Eep. Zara Holland didn’t exactly have the easiest time on Loose Women this afternoon.

The 20-year-old appeared on the panel with Deone Robertson, who became Miss Great Britain when she was de-crowned during her stint on Love Island.

In case you’ve forgotten, Zara lost her title after a night of romance with Alex Bowen, a move which many people (including the LOOK team) thought was sexist and outdated.

But it doesn’t seem as though the Loose Women agreed with us.

After Zara explained that Miss GB bosses gave her permission to appear on LI, Sherrie Hewson said: ‘But I’m sure they didn’t expect you to do what you did.’

Zara replied: ‘Neither did I. But there was alcohol and it was in the moment. I am only 20 and I made a mistake. I am living with the consequences right now.’

She continued by saying that she thought Miss GB was a ‘modern pageant’, to which June Sarpong hit back: ‘There’s nothing modern about having sex on TV. I don’t agree with having sex on TV.’

June Sarpong had some strong words for Zara Holland

Um, ouch. June added: ‘You did sign the terms and conditions. You can’t bring the organisation into disrepute. It has a heritage and is prestigious.’

Keeping her cool, Zara replied: ‘I am the hardest working Miss Great Britain they have ever had and there will ever be.

‘I’ve still got my crown at home. It’s beautiful and wonderful and I won it, so I won’t give it back, even though they have asked me.’

A little awkward, considering Deone, 28, was sat right next to her.

However, that didn’t seem to faze Zara, who sniped: ‘She didn’t win the competition and she doesn’t deserve it. I stand up for women and if it was me, I wouldn’t have taken it.’

Deone replied: ‘If I didn’t take it, someone else would have and this is my dream too.

Things got *pretty* heated…

‘You gave it up. You made the choice. Zara worked really hard to win and she did lots of charity work. But if you can’t fulfil your role, it does say in the rules that it goes to the runner-up.’
