The Strictly Come Dancing star has told Chris Evans that he's 'absolutely dandy' since quitting the dance competition...
Will Young has broken his silence following his shock exit from Strictly Come Dancing.
The Pop Idol winner stunned his fans when he unexpectedly announced last night that he would be leaving the competition for ‘personal reasons’.
Since then, speculation has been rife about why he really quit the show, with some thinking it could be linked to an alleged argument he had with judge Len Goodman.
However, the 37-year-old has now broken his silence on the matter, and thanks to Chris Evans, Will’s fans have been informed that he’s feeling ‘dandy’ about the whole thing.
Will is said to have sent a text message to Chris Evans’ BBC Radio 2 breakfast show earlier today, which read: ‘Here’s the thing. I’m absolutely dandy, thanks.’
Playing down the ‘personal’ reason why he sensationally quit the show, Will added: ‘It’s all very undramatic really. I’ve done my statement and others can say what they want to say.
‘I never read what they say anyhow.’
Hmm. Looks like we’re still going to be in the dark for a while longer, then…
Will’s official statement announcing his exit read: ‘Unfortunately, I am leaving the show for personal reasons. I leave with joy in my heart that I have been able to take part in one of the most loved shows on British television.

‘To be a part of Strictly has been a long time ambition of mine. As a performer, a viewer, and a fan of the show, to dance as a contestant was an experience I always hoped for. I have made some great friends, and am in awe of their performances week in, week out.
‘I have found a creative partnership with Karen that has been the most wonderful thing to experience. I will be eternally grateful to her for her direction, talent and guiding me through three wonderful dances that I will be able to show my grandkids in years to come.’
We’ll miss you, Will!
