Why Kanye West Was Rejected From Fashion School

Kanye West received a pretty whopping blow to his ego when he was rejected from prestigious London fashion college, Central Saint Martins.

Kim Kardashian‘s style-obsessed rapper fiancé, who has just shown his new collection for French label A.P.C, revealed that he tried to get into the British fashion school but was turned away on the grounds of being ‘too famous’. LOL.

The 36-year-old Bound singer told GQ: ‘I wanted to go to Central Saint Martins, but Louise Goldin (a member of the British Fashion Council) said that I was too famous.’ Amazing.

Still, it doesn’t look like having his dreams of studying fashion dashed by the industry’s big dogs dented Kanye’s ego too much. (We’re not sure if anything could, to be honest…)

‘I basically had to learn my clothes through Style.com, through like Scott [Schuman] The Sartorialist, Tommy Ton, and dudes shopping,’ the rapper continued as he bigged up his ‘epic’ fashion sense.

‘Luckily, I was rich enough to make mistakes and learn by like just being a fashion victim — which I definitely have been a fashion victim — and to flip it from fashion victim to maybe a fashion icon, to actually a person who can give an opinion, and that’s what I’m in the process of doing.’

‘So I just want everyone to be patient with me as we go on this journey’, Kanye added.

Will his next sartorial gift to the world be Kimmy K’s wedding dress? We can’t wait to find out…
