Would You Wear White To A Wedding?

Choosing what to wear to a wedding is never easy. You want to look nice, but not too nice that you’ll upstage the bride, and you certainly don’t want to upset her conservative grandma by wearing something too revealing… But there’s one thing you do know – and that’s not to wear white. It’s the biggest no-no ever, right?

Wrong! A new survey carried out by George at Asda has found that three in five of us would wear the colour to a wedding – despite many brides saying they would be upset if their guests showed up in the colour.


The trend is said to be down to celebs choosing white for their bridal party: Kate Moss had all of her 15 bridesmaids in white dresses, while Solange dressed her bridal party in chic white outfits and Rochelle Humes recently stunned in an all-white bridesmaid dress for TOWIE star Georgina Dorsett’s wedding. And who could forget Pippa Middleton’s chic dress for the Royal wedding?

However, despite the trends wearing white as a guest is still in the top four wedding faux pas along with a cringeworthy best man speech, and upsetting the mother of the bride…
