We Love Lorde’s Bold Anti-Photoshop Statement

Lorde has done something pretty cool on Twitter, hot on the heels of last week’s #nomakeupselfie trail.

The British singer made an anti-airbrushing statement and encouraged her 1.3 million followers to embrace their imperfections by sharing an unretouched photo of herself to remind us all that that even popstars have flaws.

Posting a before and after shot taken at a recent concert of hers, the 17-year-old wrote: ‘I find this curious – two photos from today, one edited so my skin is perfect and one real. Remember flaws are ok.’

While Lorde’s trademark dark pout remains the same in both shots, in the first one her foundation finish has been significantly altered.

Everyone knows celebrities are often airbrushed to look smoother, glossier and blemish-free, but it’s still nice for a gorgeous lady like Lorde to give us a subtle reminder that in fact, most of the time, they did not wake up like dis.
