Victoria Beckham’s 2003 Hip Hop Album Leaks Online

Let’s flashback 13 years… 2003 was the year that Finding Nemo was released, the year of THAT Madonna and Britney kiss and also the year that Victoria Beckham recorded a hip hop album… Hang on, what?!

It’s hard now to imagine Victoria as a hip hop star, what with her being an international fashion powerhouse and all, and yet it could have happened.

Because last month, a demo disk containing 17 studio recordings of Victoria’s songs appeared on eBay.

And luckily for the world, someone has leaked them onto Soundcloud and YouTube.

We have listened to it and all we can say is…. WOW.

After the Spice Girls split, VB worked on several solo projects. For this album she worked alongside Damon Dash, who co-founded Roc-A-Fella records with Jay Z.

The album never saw the light of day at the time as Victoria’s debut album didn’t do too well in terms of sales, however she did have numerous hits with ‘Not Such An Innocent Girl’, and who could forget THAT Dane Bowers collaboration ‘Out Of Your Mind’?!

Damon Dash revealed at the time: ‘Because Victoria’s record company aren’t happy about the fact that she came over to New York to work with me they are putting out stories. Before anyone’s even heard the album they were making things up.

‘I heard a story that Victoria was calling herself the female Eminem. That’s just dumb.’

THE. FEMALE. EMINEM.

We never knew how much we wanted Victoria to be a hip hop star until now.

Sadly, it still seems unlikely she will be, but at least we can marvel at her beautiful designs.

That’s something, right?
