There’s Going To Be An IRL Chocolate Factory

Your (chocolate covered) dreams have come true.

There’s going to be an IRL chocolate factory that’s almost identical to Willy Wonka’s – and you don’t even need a Golden Ticket to get there.

Yep, Universal Orlando are set to open the Toothsome Chocolate Factory later this year – a restaurant that will transport us to a 19th Century Steampunk chocolate factory – and it’s set to be seriously droolsome.

And while the factory isn’t actually linked to the book, or films, it’s pretty clear from looking at the pictures (and the simply marvelous creations that will be served there) where the inspiration for the restaurant came from.

The menu will pretty much consist of chocolate, chocolate and more chocolate – with pasta, burgers and brunch all served with a twist.

Though, tbh, it’s the desserts were really care about – and they look incredible.

There’s MILKSHAKES including Chocolate x 5 (best name ever?) which is described as “an explosion of chocolate with chocolate spirals, chunks, ice cream and whipped cream), the Bacon Brittle which is a “fun twist on a breakfast favourite with bacon ice cream, bacon brittle, chocolate covered bacon and bacon caramel.” Yes, you read that right. CHOCOLATE COVERED BACON.

For coffee lovers there’s the Espresso Buzz with coffee ice cream and chocolate covered coffee beans, Red Velvet which is a milkshake topped with a Red Velvet Cupcake and Key Lime Pie which takes the dessert, makes it into a milkshake and then puts a piece of the pie on top – genius.

There’s also sundaes with flavours straight out of Willy Wonka’s crazy mind, including a S’mores one which will have chocolate ice-cream and marshmallow cream in it.

Plus you can transform yourself into Charlie Bucket and watch everything being made.

The restaurant is set to open later this year, and while there’s no word yet as to if there will be a chocolate river, or a television room, we’re already saving for our plane ticket.
