TLC Reunite For First Album In Ten Years

TLC, one of our favourite 90s girlbands, have confirmed that they are reuniting to produce a new album.

Rozonda Thomas, known as ‘Chilli’ and Tionne Watkins, also known as ‘T-Boz’ appeared at last week’s MOBO Awards where they received an Outstanding Contribution Award. The singers took the opportunity to reveal that they’ve been working on new material. Yay!

T-Boz said: “We’re going to still sound like TLC, evolving to whatever level we need to be at this time.”

The group sold more than 15 million albums in the US, and we still have their hits Waterfalls, Creep and No Scrubs on our work playlists.

But the girls stopped recording when their third member, Lis ‘Left Eye’ Lopes tragically died in a car accident in 2002.

Talking about their return to the music scene, T-Boz says: “We’ve always grown throughout the years and have always had our own sound. That’s what works for us and we don’t have to worry about anybody else.

“When that stops working, maybe we’ll hang up the towel, but that still works. We have to get into the studio and start feeling how we feel. You have to find yourself first and then you find the path and then you have an album before you know it.”

The pair are also planning a tour and a biopic of their lives. We can’t wait. RM
