There was a seriously emotional segment on This Morning yesterday.
A couple got MARRIED live on the show, after the bride had previously had to postpone her nuptials due to cancer treatment.
Annie Cain and Gareth Lewis, from Harlow, Essex, won a nationwide search to have their special day thrown for them.
Viewers got to follow every part of the couple’s romantic ceremony, seeing them wed on the HQS Wellington on the Thames, surrounded by their friends and family (and a few celebrity guests).
Gok Wan had designed the bride’s dress, Phil Vickery cooked the wedding breakfast and Peter Andre sang for them during their first dance.
Even the choreography was down to This Morning, with ex-Strictly lady Alison Hammond having previously taught them a few moves.
Hosts Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby watched via video link from the studio, where they clapped and cheered as the pair were declared husband and wife.
They then joined the newlyweds at their reception.
The happy day came after an incredibly difficult year for Annie and Gareth. But what made it all the more poignant was the fact that This Morning had played a part in Annie’s cancer battle.
She explained: ‘I was sitting at home with a cup of tea and Michaela Strachan was on This Morning talking to Eamonn and Ruth [about her breast cancer]… and I had felt a lump a couple of months beforehand.

‘And while I was sitting there, I felt [again] and it was still there and it had grown a lot.’
Annie was diagnosed with an aggressive form of breast cancer, which forced her and Gareth to put their wedding plans on hold.
She continued: ‘I wasn’t well enough, and we both weren’t in the right frame of mind… we didn’t know if I would make it, and I needed to focus on fighting the cancer and beating it. Which I have done and I did because I had Gareth.’
Of course, after hearing this story, fans of the programme were incredibly moved.
Tweets included: ‘Just catching up on This Morning wedding and in tears,’ and: ‘Sat crying at the live #wedding on #ThisMorning. So lovely and a beautiful story.’
Aw. Huge congratulations, guys!
