The X Factor Wasn't 'Fixed' On Sunday, Says Producer
X Factor producer Richard Holloway has responded to claims that Sunday night's results show was a 'fix'.
Viewers were in uproar over Louis Walsh's decision to go to deadlock, which sent home Carolynne Poole after the shock sing-off against Rylan Clark. A picture emerged online of the producer Richard whispering to Louis, prompting claims that he was told to go to deadlock, despite already deciding that Carolynne should stay.
Richard told The Sun: "We never tell the judges what to do." He added that he was merely chatting to Louis to tell him he'd be voting last on the panel."
He also told The Mirror: "We regularly chat to the judges during the show, they don't wear earpieces like Dermot O'Leary, so we have to speak to them on anything from timings to running order changes.
"On Sunday I was telling Louis the order the judges would vote in. We don't tell judges how to vote."
