The Wanted have played down their current feud with One Direction today to reassure fans that things won’t get physical between the Brit bands when they meet in New York tomorrow.
The boys have been feuding throughout 2012, and things are set to get even more heated as they ALL prepare to perform at New York’s Jingle Bell Ball.
The Wanted’s Max George has insisted that they won’t fight the 1D boys if they bump into them backstage.
He told MTV News: “It started off as plain fun I think and then I think one of them started getting a bit arsey and started getting a bit serious.
“Which we tried to play off still as a joke but then it carried on so we just put it out there, ‘If you got an actual problem come see us in New York’.
“But I’m not sure they will, I think people have been in contact saying if we go near them we can have our visas taken off of us and all this s**t.”
Nathan Sykes then added: “And [we’ll] get arrested, apparently!”
Both bands have been having public rows on Twitter, with Zayn calling Max a ‘geek of the week’ and Max labelling Zayn ‘chlamydia boy’. Ouch.
We’re going to quote our mums and say boys – just stay away from each other, yeah? RM
