But really we just want to know her selfie tips…
As if there’s one thing we know for certain, Kim takes a damn good selfie. And we all want to know her secrets! We tracked down the best advice, not just from Kim but the whole, well, Klan. Your feed won’t know what has hit it…
Lighting is Everything
“Make sure the lighting is amazing,” says Kim. “Because you want to blow out everything that you don’t want to see and highlight all the good things that you do.” Kendall agrees saying, “Lighting is a big thing. If you’re not in the right light it just won’t work.”
While Kylie goes one step further and has purchased a special light just for taking selfies! “It’s like an umbrella with a light, and you take the umbrella off and it’s just like a bright light,” she says.
If you’re not quite at the buying-a-prop stage of selfie taking, just get the timing right. Kylie adds. “I always get the best selfies at like 8 o clock in the morning, and the sun comes in from behind and it’s just great.”

“I’m not into using too many filters, either,” says Kendall. “I like to keep it pretty natural—or black and white is always cool.” And Kim is also not too into them. “I can’t ever figure it out,” she explains, “and I don’t like the way they look, so I’d rather not bother.”
Know What Suits You And Take Lots
“For me, I know my perfect angle, it’s my chin down and I just pose away,” says Kim. “You always need [your phone] to be a little higher than lower – and know your angle.” Kendall agrees saying “above all you have to know your face: everybody has their good side. [I] take about 300 photos until I get the perfect selfie,” says Kim. “Every girl knows that for that one selfie that gets posted there’s like 100 behind it.”
Duck Face Works
“I love it because it gives you cheekbones,” Kim’s said of the classic selfie pose.
“So many people think that taking so many selfies is just ridiculous,” says Kim. “I’m kind of letting them know, yes, it is ridiculous, but it’s all fun. I can look at a photo on social media and see a picture and know exactly where I was by the outfit I had on or who I was with. I take it more as a fun, emotional scrapbook that I love to look back on.” Kendall agrees, “there’s not really anything you can do wrong in a selfie,” she says.
