The Apprentice Candidates Speak Out About Show Romances

Away from the boardroom, things may have been heating up between the contestants...

Oosh. The Apprentice got seriously brutal last night.

It was the interview stage, and saw business heavyweights (including our fave Claude Littner) scrutinise the candidates on their credentials.

After an intense day, Lord Sugar ended up firing Jessica Cunningham, Frances Bishop and Grainne McCoy, leaving Alana Spencer and Courtney Wood to battle it out in next week’s final.

But it seems as though Courtney, 29, may have been keener to spend time with someone else – Jessica. Ooh.

Rumours have emerged of a romance between the pair, after they reportedly got cosy in the contestants’ house earlier on in the series.

Pretty sure @theprodigalfox was caught undressing me with her eyes 👀 on #theapprentice

But Jessica, also 29, has since rubbished the speculation, telling Digital Spy: ‘Oh, don’t believe everything you read in the papers unless it comes from the horse’s mouth!

‘You’ll have to ask Courtney on that one… but no, we’re just good friends.’

Grainne McCoy

Grainne McCoy has denied romancing her fellow contestant

They aren’t the only ones who’ve been the subject of such claims.

Grainne, 31, was previously linked to Paul Sullivan, who was fired back in week eight.

However, she’s also denied this, saying: ‘I did hear one or two rumours myself!

Paul Sullivan

Paul Sullivan was one of the house’s singletons

‘Obviously they’re going to pinpoint the four single people in the house, me and Paul being two of them. We got on really, really well, we all hung out and watched movies and stuff, but romances?

‘I’ve been very much single all year and I’m going to keep it that way until 2017, until my husband comes and sweeps me off my feet. I haven’t found him yet either!’

Aw. We’re just thinking of Claude doing a wedding speech. What a lost opportunity…
