Taylor Swift has opened up about the difficulties of dating in the public eye.
As we all know, the 26-year-old’s love life (and the songs she’s written about it) has attracted quite a lot of attention over the years.
Now she’s admitted that this has been incredibly hard to deal with, telling Vogue: ‘You know, I went out on a normal amount of dates in my early 20s, and I got absolutely slaughtered for it.
‘And it took a lot of hard work and altering my decision-making. I didn’t date for two and half years. Should I have had to do that? No.’
We totally agree with you, lady. And this isn’t the first time that Taylor has hinted at her struggle.
When she won the Album Of The Year gong at the Grammys earlier this year, she made the passionate speech: ‘I want to say to all the young women out there, there are going to be people along the way who will try to undercut your success or take credit for your accomplishments or your fame.
‘But if you just focus on the work and you don’t let those people sidetrack you, someday, when you get where you are going, you will look around and you will know that it was you and the people who love you who put you there.
‘And that will be the greatest feeling in the world. Thank you for this moment.’

She explains: ‘I guess what I wanted to call attention to in my speech at the Grammys was how it’s going to be difficult if you’re a woman who wants to achieve something in her life – no matter what.’
Happily for Taylor, she’s been able to move on. She’s super loved-up with boyfriend Calvin Harris, who she’s been dating for over year.
Talking about their romance, she says: ‘I’m just taking things as they come.
‘I’m in a magical relationship right now. And of course I want it to be ours, and low-key. this is the one thing that’s been mine about my personal life.’
Aw. Two words: Couple goals.
